Meet Geoff Falconar

Geoff Falconar has had a diverse career centered primarily around marketing and business development of information technology companies.

He held a wide variety of jobs in several industries throughout the 1980s, focusing primarily on sales after working everything from ditch digging to project management.

In the early 1990’s, after successes in marketing management for a couple aviation businesses, he shifted his career to the rapidly expanding information technology sector where he led the marketing and business development for several software companies.

In 1997, Geoff was appointed Industry Director of the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) and Aerospace sectors for Economic Development Edmonton. Over the course of three years, he met and worked with hundreds of technology companies, founded and ran Canada's largest and fastest growing industry association for the software industry, and played a key role in attracting major customer service centres to the city.

Geoff returned to the consulting business for a couple years, then founded Allantra Learning Technologies Corp. to fill a gap in the commercial e-Learning products and services market. Inspired by the successes of Westjet and other high-value / low-cost companies, his vision is to bring the benefits of online training technologies within reach of the average business.

Geoff co-founded Aerostudies Inc. to bring this to the aerospace market sector. Things were just getting rolling when September 11, 2001 happened. Geoff pushed through and eventually landed a major contract with Boeing, which got the company off the ground.

In 2003, he engineered and led the development of AVANTI Industrial E-training System, a world-class comprehensive online e-Learning system designed for average businesses. Aerostudies customized a version of the product for the aviation industry, with Boeing being the launch customer.

Geoff has done business throughout the U.S. and in several countries overseas. One of his specialties is establishing unique and effective international dealer networks. He strongly believes that success comes from working hard and selling your product, funding your business from revenues instead of investment or debt.

He resides in his birthplace of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada with his wife and two young children.
